How often should I replace my filters?
Most homeowners use the standard 1'' pleated filters and those can be replaced once a month. The 3" or 5'' filters should be replaced every six months.
What temperature should I set my thermostat?
For most, where your thermostat is set to should be according to your comfort level. Keep your thermostat at one setting to avoid turning the system on and off and help the system keep your home at an enjoyable, comfort level. For heating, the average person sets their thermostat at 68 degrees and for cooling most set theirs at 74 degrees.
What should I do with my outdoor epuipment in the winter months?
Place plywood over the top to protect from leaves and ice damage.
Should I keep snow away from my furnace vents?
Yes, keep your vent clear of snow at least 3 feet out from the vent.
